活壹 : 三舌
is a dance trilogy made up of , and , which deals with continuous patterns in nature and human behaviour.
The first piece unfolds with three dancers endlessly turning around themselves, encircling their thoughts and how to communicate with the outside world.
But their words get stuck in the mouth, questions are lingering on the lips and emotions hover over the tongue. It is this very familiar, yet helplessly private situation that makes them move. With a huge appetite for words, they arm themselves with movement against the dark spells of modern life with all its promising freedom and hidden taboos.
And they go on, go on and on and on and on…

Hello everyone, I am hoping for your attention!!!!
Let me introduce, this is a crowdfunding for my upcoming dance production in Kuala Lumpur with an amazing team, tittle Tongue. It will be premiered in February 2018, one week before the Chinese New Year.
YES!!! I am asking for money. No doubt, it is difficult everywhere. Still I am taking the challenge to make this happen in Malaysia. The crowdfunding is opened to everyone who want to support.
I am wondering how this crowdfunding could help me and I am giving a try to work on it and explain it in a good way to let you know how important to have your financial involvement as I know many people in Malaysia still don’t understand the dance scene in Malaysia especially to the freelancer.
(Freelance - Independent - dancer/choreographer/artist - full-time/ part-time job - looking for sponsors - management - rehearsal - salary/cost - performance)
Besides applying the funding from certain art organisation either private or government, the freelancers/independent group will have to look for their own SPONSORS to put up a performance! It is hard to only expect the ticketing to cover all the expenses. By spending the effort and time to organise the production and most of the freelances have their own full-time job (office work etc), this will take over the focus for the creative process. And of course with the passion, many people are still doing it. For dance and for art.
Please imagine your wedding as a performance. Besides you don’t get paid as being a bride/groom, there are so many cost is in the consideration. The grown(costumes), venue (stage), invitation card (poster/flyers), chef/waitress (technical crews), lighting, music (composer), flowers setting (stage designer) ,wedding album (photo shoot), video clip(recording), Ang Pau(ticket selling) etc. As do we!!! For wedding, you can put all your savings into it because it happen once in your life, but we could not because we want more and we know how important to have dance/art in our life.
Usually after paying all these costs, only the dancers and choreographer might be paid. I am lucky to have a team that did not ask me how much I would pay them include the composer/stage designer/lighting designer/producer/ translator because we all understand the situation. I appreciate all their work and I would like to provide them what they deserve . I am trying to make a different and I need your support!!! Please kindly share this post on your timeline!!!!
There are more upcoming productions from other groups as well that you can check it out on this website. If you like them, please support or make an action to buy a ticket. After all, we would like you to attend the performance as well.
If you have any further question/doubt, please don’t hesitate to write me or comment.
Thank you very much!!!!! <3 <3 <3 #continuetonguedanceproduction#performance #crowdfunding #INXOArtsFund #Goethe #DPAC
